Hmm... T2 seems to be stable now.
Not bad, actually: If 10 out of those 20 missions/year are great - and usually there are (even more) - then this means that we have a full new T2 every year! ;-)
T1 on the other hand seems to be "undead" right now...

The number of FMs has roughly halved in five years, and the trend seems to be irreversible (although there will probably be a long tail at the end before the last of us geezers kick it).

Well, we do still get new people, which is quite amazing in its own right.
Three of the FMs released this year were from the novice contest. Two were April Fool's joke missions by new authors (my own Tower of Jorge and DevAnj's Frest World). One was an amazing debut release by Pukey Brunster, which is good enough in quality to compete with the classics. Iron Heart was, as far as I know, FrenchDecay's first mission, too. Watery Grave was, as far as I know, Squadafroin's first own mission too, if we don't consider the team effort that was Chalice of Souls.
That means that 8 of 2016's 19 Thief 2 FMs were made by new people rather than the old geezers, which is a really good statistic for a game that is slowly approaching 20 years of age.
