I just went over to CheapM and the same ver. 3.0 or maybe it's 3.1 (memory leaks). :D In any case 4.0 was not up yet. I do hope an added note was put into the read-me (not shown on your site either) as to what was done for new version?
As you might recall, I had a sad ending to your mod not being able to complete the saving of Garrett (via the darn button panel)...was that made any simplier by adding numbers to the button switches so you can read what they are instead of trying to guess which numbers go to which button?
You said in your thread it's a whole new experience...may I ask in what way? Are there new quests, locations of stuff, etc.?
Thanks for any input to this already very good mod (exception noted above). :D

jason hasn't updated the site yet, its a new visual experience, the gameplay is all the same, but i had the time to make it look like my next mission, which also ties them together as a series since the stories are related.

Thanks for the reply, but you didn't exactly say about the panel...I really would have hoped, since you went into the mod anyway, that you would have made that change since many ppl did have trouble with it.
Consequently if you mess up, you will still have to make a save beforehand to restart in the original order, since apparently you didn't add a reset button either? Potentially there would be new players and they might not realize to do this. Would that be correct?
On the other hand, maybe since I/we need to get a new download, it might work better for me and/or others? I can only hope the next time it will. It is also nice to know that you will be making a second part to it. :) Perhaps if there is anything similar along those lines in this next one, you might keep those kinds of things in mind? :)

that panel puzzle is order specific and can't be finished if its screwed up. i left the gameplay alone because i didn't want to alter that element. i never thought it was that hard, everything is labeled and there were clear instructions, if you flip the wrong lever immediately flip it back and proceed, should still work. that said, it is the biggest complaint i had in the old version. i did clean up the light puzzle in the electric room, the lights were never illuminating correctly. now its much easier to see that sequence.

BUMP, also updated at cheap missions as of today, i'd like to know what people are liking in the new version, it'll influence design ideas in my new project.

I like the retexuring a lot. It gives the mission a somewhat modern feel -- especially the bathroom tile. One issue though is that my framerate seems to sttuter from time to time inside the station -- I've got a somewhat decent rig to (Nvidia 6800 Ultra/2 Gigs system RAM). I will get back to you if I play again and it happens.
I had played the original version up to breaking into police station, but put it on hold to play other things. Now I am deep into this one and will see it through.
I really hope you get to finish
Evil Never Dies. It seems like its going to be a really action-packed Mechanist adventure. I thought that was going to be your next mission, actually.

its story builds on this mission, so the restyling was part of the plan eventually, had some builders block and got to doing this.
