Hey Ottoj55,
WOW, talk about Veteran thieving time.
This has alot of twists and turns!
Thanks for one of the BEst challenges I ever played.
Mixing chemicals to get an antidote and potions REal COOL!
ALL the code pattern challenges were just genious.
ANd THat made for a real awesome challenging experience.
THe intro of pick pocketing and not alerting AI unless they see you first, as passing by, was making me Laugh my arse off, every time they jerked back from my trying to get their coin purse.
The servant guy was running around alerting guards from every direction and they would respond quickly:eek:
I was LAughing so hard it hurts to think about it right now!!!! MUHAHA
Thanks for giving Basso a taffing rescue mission!

I just have to throw my two cents in on this one.
This is without question, one of my favorite FMs I've ever played! It is so much like an OM that it could easily have been included as a mission in T2. The attention to architectural detail throughout the mission is incredible. The layout of the main building is very well thought out. The readables are not too long, and provide very concise hints as to how to solve puzzles and achieve objectives. The background music immerses you into the mission like no other, and the interestingly original plot twist of being Basso (along with his lack of thiefly skills, which forces a high level of sneaking) make this a major accomplishment. Well done! :thumb:
My one and only complaint:
The switch to the secret passage to the Chief's office. This is the only thing I had to consult the hints page for, and even though I found it, it was not visible at all. In my humble opinion, all switches should be visible. Randomly clicking on all areas of every room in order to find a switch is not logical.
This is one I'll be playing again, which is something I almost never do.
Excellent work Ottoj55!!!! Thank You!! :)

it is very hard to see, my thought was that once you see where similar switches are located that you might check similar places, and
there is another way into that office
, i don't like limiting the playing experience to one solution.

Yep, french langage is nearly done. I didn't forget you.
In fact all the texts are in french now, and i ask to Gaetane to check them.
Now i'm playing your fm in french to inspect if my translation is good.
French is coming soon ...

I've been enjoying this mission quite a bit but just ran into something weird.
I had just found the third lockpick and then ended up back at the patrol offices. I'd been here before and knocked out the officer who was at the filing cabinet. When I came back in the body wasn't there anymore and he was back at the filing cabinet. I had also knocked out all of the guards in this area but they're also all back again. The problem though is that there are some who I can no longer knock out. I just pass right through them. However, they can wail on me and kill me. Anyone know if this is a bug or am I actually in a mirror image of the original area?
