I've just signed up. But we're still missing a few people from last season.

Ooh, go on then.

Eh, why not?

Succumbing to a product of my Mortal Enemy? Oh go on then. At least it'll get the players in the right positions, so I won't have a defense and strike force made of wingers like in another one I'm doing this season.
OK I do have a defense of wingers. Why the hell is a player who was played out of position by a manager who got the sack in a handful of games listed as a defender? Especially considering he's also played a similar amount of games in centre-midfield and up front due to injury crises as he has at left back. Blimey.

No banter for the big kick off tomorrow? Chelsea for the title for me and cant look much beyond the 3 promoted teams for relegation either although one always manages to surprise me.

I have high hopes for Liverpool this season, about time they won the league again. :thumb:
11 teams in the Fantasy League and one of those with an Aussie manager  Shades of RBJ's foray into the mine field that is the TTLG Memorial League... Good luck to all but I think it's the Wreckers season :cheeky:

How the hell do you get 60+ points?

* Pick a team with loads of solid performers eg Reina at GK has more clean sheets than any other keeper for three seasons running; Ashley Young in midfield topped the assists table last season; Stewart Downing has scored big in goals and assists for several years on the trot too.
* Invest in attacking midfielders. The best AMs score as many as most strikers, and tend to be better value. I'm expecting most points this season to come from my midfield of Young/Petrov/Bentley/Downing/Deco. It means my strikers are "second tier" - Bent, Alves, Elmander rather than Torres/Adebayor/Santa Cruz - but it ought to work out in the long run.
Hamann is a good player, but he ought to be nowhere near a fantasy team :p
* Transfer players out when you know they are injured. It can be somewhat laborious checking the injury status of your players before every matchday, but it pays off. I dropped Fabregas for Deco when I saw he wasn't expected back for a few weeks. If I hadn't done that, it'd have been £10m lying there idle. If you're that set on having Cesc in your squad, just put him back in when he returns from injury.
* Drop players who are playing tough fixtures. If one of my players is set to play Chelsea away from home, he's going on the bench. There's no value in defenders who are probably going to condede goals, or strikers who will struggle to score. If his team has a run of tough fixtures (hello Portsmouth) it may even be worth transferring him out.
