Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon - it's 1997 and the apocalypse has had an apocalypse - by EvaUnit02

Considering we're talking about the middle of the Yorkshire dales here, that's quite a lot of diversity as it is, plus I think they brought in a afro-caribbean family as part of the regular cast. Anyway, how in the living fuck did this get onto discussing some quaint English tv soap about backwater folk living out in the middle of nowhere?

Well, it actually does end up being a lot of fun. You can't really use stealth much until you get heavy beatdown, but after that it does work.
The laser rifle and explosive sniper are a lot of fun.

So far I'm disappointed with the lack of Sly or Arnie influence. Needs more.
The shotgun is the same kind Arnie has at the start of Terminator 2! Love that one. Also all the weapon animations are great.

Waiting to get the time to try it out, but meanwhile it's giving me serious nostalgia about my favorite childhood B-movie:

Stealth is actually pretty important even before then. You should stealth your way to the alarms, then once it's gone you can start blasting. Don't recommend it though, you get more XP for stealth kills and if you killl enough of the regular mooks first the heavies become much less of a threat.

Also you can melee takedown heavies without the Heavy Beatdown if you sneak up right behind them and just start slashing away with the knife. They usually won't have time to get off a shot before going down, but they
will make a lot of noise going down. I think if you do it a bit out of the way and make yourself scarce before other guards come to investigate you might be able to stay undetected tho.

Actually stealth is workable from the first outpost right after the dragons... first with a bow, but you get the silenced pistol very early. It helps
tremendously because even if you muck up, only 2-3 guys start shooting you instead of a dozen, and when you don't have many upgraded weapons that can be rather difficult... I only started using takedowns much later, but I guess that's because I wasn't used to the FC3 style of playing. Being stealthly in this game simply needs being pretty patient and careful with the order of eliminating guards.
Also: the music during the training montage (I think the same thing plays during the credits, Friends Forever) was bloody brilliant. Was it made directly for this game?

Son, this thread is about blood dragons, not ass dragons.
