That looks kinda fun! Never got around to doing the coop missions.
Also, that stray character sounds like a pretty standard synching issue to me.

Dude burned too many hash fields. No wonder you're seeing things.

After the sp campaign I'm up for sexy co-op action, w00t!

Goddamn you all with your fancy gaming PCs... stuck over here on PS3 looking for coop. This game is fantastic.

Ah. Never had anything like that happen to me in all my days of co-opping I must say.

It's kinda hard to get some co-op action going with you on the other side of the planet over there, but if you see me on Steam and wanna play gimme a shout! I'll probably be up for it. :)

I know, right? :D I couldn't quite believe it when RPS picked FC3 as their GOTY for 2012. I was like
"Ok, I'm sure it's good but better than Dark Souls? Better than Dishonored? Hotline Miami? The Walking Dead? FTL? There is no way it's better than those games." But you know what? I'm 24 hours into it now and... I can totally see why they picked it. Every part of this game just
works. It starts out great and then just keeps piling on more and more awesome stuff. There aren't many games where I've switched up to the hardest difficulty on the first playthrough simply because I want it to last longer, but FC3 is one.

Here's me doing a late-game mission on the hardest difficulty.

There might appear to be some odd cuts and fades at certain parts in the video, disregard these, they're merely your mind playing tricks on you. I'm a total badass and managed to nail this playthrough in one take.

I know why I like this game so much. It is what FarCry 1 wanted to be. It feels a lot like it, but improved in almost every aspect.
I think some people don't like the tagging (I do), but it has been a part of the franchise since the 1st game. Sometimes peeps forget that.
Also super stoked about the return to the jungle. Africa was meh.
Slasher on 7/4/2013 at 17:52
I didn't know that about the tagging. I never played FC1 and only spent a few hours in FC2, despite buying it at full price late in 2008. This thread has gotten me thinking I might need to go back and give it another try.
Somewhat off topic, but this thread brought to mind those cassowary things I had never heard about until I played this game. Anyone else remember those Angry (flightless) Birds in FC3? I was a little confused when the camera tagged them with the carnivore icon since they looked like colorful, oversized turkeys, but if you get close enough to one a couple kicks can turn the screen black and white. So I finally looked them up and according to (
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cassowary) Wikipedia they can be lethal when approached. At between 1.5 - 2 meters tall, with a running speed of ~30 km/h and a 5 inch (~10 cm.) claw on each foot they've been known to kill people and dogs when cornered.

Hahaha that picture is great!
I was sneaking up on dingos to make some holster or another from its skin, when I came across a pack of those fucking buzzards pecking and slashing the 2 poor dingos to death. It was hysterical and then, right on cue, they focus their attention on moi and slaughter me dead right in the middle of the road.
