Try wacking Paul with a crowbar until he blasts you with his plasma rifle. I'm not sure if it's the fastest, but it's highly amusing. :D

DaveW - i think player must type command in console (ex. gravity command or suddendeath - i never used console, so i don't know), especialy i don't see a inventory bar and HUD. Console isn't visible, 'cause it's in right-low corner of screen. It's smell :D
Alai912 - yes, he's got a pistol, medkit and also electric club.
