there is a thread about (
https://www.ttlg.com/forums/showthread.php?t=152386) confusing maps, but let's celebrate some of our favorites!
I have a map of Hightowne from Rose Garden, and a map of Mirkway Quarter printed out on my wall with notes, as well as the Walker's Guide to Red Rook and the sealed district of Hollowbrook beside it.
Skacky's maps from Dark Rain and Endless Walls are also great, but I couldn't find good ones to print.
Please share your favorite FM maps, ideally with pictures (be a better posted than me!), to show some appreciation

I have a special place in my heart for the map from The Violent End of Duncan Malveine just because you see it printed on the wall and get to choose where to begin. Feast of Pilgirms' is another I remember appreciating for being clear and useful. Also, I remember an FM that had a sort of "isometric" view style map which was very pretty but I don't remember the name, does anyone?

I need to look at the catalogue of FMs i have finished, but I generally enjoy FMs with a nice cozy village atmosphere.
My absolute favorite is that snow village from The Night Falcon by Christine Schneider.
I believe is the one with the snow sled sequence at the start, later in the FM, you find "Christine's Kinderland", which is the most adorable shop i have ever come across in an FM, i even contacted Christine herself to try to praise that part of her FM.
Besides that, I really like Sensut's stuff, anything that goes heavily into gothic themes is fun.
There is a rather old FM, which is a horror FM, where Garrett breaks into a neighborhood that is haunted. Everyone is either undead or a ghost. Ghost guards patrol the streets with arrow's sticking out of them, some of them are hostile, and some aren't. There is a really creepy zombie that stands in a window that overlooks the neighborhood's square and he just keeps staring at you through most of the mission.
Lastly, any FM that makes a nice-looking city, with cool shops, juicy gossip between people living there, usually something creepy going on as a side-story and just general good both horizontal e vertical design.

That must be "Curse of the Ancients".
However, I think that maps depicting something are what the threadstarter had in mind, not "maps" that mean something like "levels".;)
