TDP:
* The Sword - great level design
* The Bonehoard - there's so much ground to cover and there's pretty cool puzzles to solve
* Cragcleft Prison - sometimes a pain but I like the mood
TMA:
* Life of the Party - The City at its best
* First City Bank and Trust
* Trail of Blood
TDS:
* The Overlook Manse
* Robbing the Cradle
Least Favorite
TDP:
* Assassins - I hate following AI around
* The Lost City - It's a pain in general
TMA:
* Running Interference - general AI stuff: Bassoo justs stands around and barely reacts to anything when you're running around. When you free his girlfriend they run like idiots (I can hear Garrett groaning)
* Trace the Courier - Same as assassins
* Casing the Joint - good idea, needing to scope out a place before you return there for another event. It's tedious.
* Sabotage at Soulforge - too damn long :bored:
TDS:
* The Inn - the epitome of linearity. Stupid bouncing arrows, glowing footsteps . . .
* Running around in The City. You need to go across town and go through several load zones to get where you need to go.
* Sunken Citadel - too linear

Favourites:
TMA: Trail of blood... but only the part in the pagan town, it had the best atmosphere of any level so far, and was the only one that really struck me as a bit of a mystery. Stumbling on a tiny town after it had been slaughtered and then being retold the stories of those who died by their ghosts. Well yeh the style of narrative was redone far better in the cradle, but it was so tragic that it was the only level that I actually felt captivated by. Life of the Party is awesome fun, but didn't quite capture my imagination as well as this did.
TDS: Overlook Mansion... For the same reason, plus the atmosphere was incredible. Once again it had quite a deep side plot that you could ignore very easily, but yeh the atmosphere with the music, and the flashes of lightning, mind blowing. Plus it had a great background score. Robbing the Cradle was great too, but I didn't enjoy it as much as I was fascinated by the storyline.
Least Favourites:
TMA: Casing the joint for obvoius reasons. Precious Cargo, it started so well, I loved hauling my way up to ground level and discovering the moody setting. But it was all downhill once I span that wheel. The underground sections at the end were very poorly designed in my opinion. They were too random, and it was pretty damn confusing sometimes to figure out where the hell anything was relative to your current position (not to mention one hell of an overuse of green on the sub, blech). That key to the fifth cargo locker took me for ever to find.
TDS: Kurshok Citadel... Aquamen and Ratmen, enough said.

Wow, lots of hate for Sabatoge at Soulforge. I though it was a good closer to the game.
The cavernous, sparsely decorated rooms had a creepy quality to them that was stylistically distinct from the claustrophobic undead levels like RTC. The grey, depressing atmopshere of the level, devoid of human life, gave the player a feeling for the type of world Karras was trying to create

Yeah well, you live and you learn.
Soulforge would have been much better if you just found the various devices you needed and didn't have to fart around with manufacturing them. I play Thief to sneak around and steal things, not to pretend I'm a factory worker.

Since I only really played thief 2 a few times (TDS just onces and thief gold I am planning on playing) I will stick to thief 2:
I liked: The first few missions felt way better, some of the later ones felt a bit 'empty', a bit rushed or impersonal or something.
Life of the party was great ofcourse. The first one too, and framed was a nice one aswell (got to love breaking into a bluecoats base :cool:). Soulforgde was ok, but a bit boring sometimes (running around to make stuff) and it didn't feel 'thief'. A single patroling robot you can take out is thief, 3 or 5 of them running around can only be dealt with by the use of brute force, not really my style.
The bank was fun. Blackmail didn't feel all that good with the weirdly locked doors and illoggical long hallways with a single entrance yet needed to get to a higher level. (by the way the additional objective in blackmail that I found when reading a walkthough is really cool, I love all those secret stuff they put in thief :) )
Anyhow, trace the courier and trail of blood were average. A thief is supposed to be indoor.
Chasing the joint and masks should have been a single mission. : /
Still a great game. : D

Now that I've plyed Thief:Gold a bit I can tell you my favourite and least favourite missions.
Least Favouriter:
Thieves Guild(It's too big and very confusing)
The Sword(I nearly went mad in that cursed mansion)
Bonehoard(I despise any mission that involves zombies)
Favourite:
Forgot the name but it was the one with ramirez's mansion.(That was the easiest one)
But I haven't finished Thief:Gold yet so ther might be more later on which I might like.

Running Interference? That's a standard mansion crawl. Should be right up your alley.
