I just grabbed Doom 3 off the Steam Summer Sale and am excited I can finally try out some TDM missions!
Could people could recommand their favourite TDM missions? I don't care if it's long or short, I just want to try out a few good ones.

There aren't too many at the moment and many of them are decent early missions but a bit bland,
but some pretty darn good ones at the moment would be:
Tears of Saint Lucia - Very atmospheric, good amount of detail and some classic thief gameplay.
No Honour Among Thieves - A 3 level mission, with some great gameplay in all the levels.
Return to the city - Now this one feels like classic thief successfully modernised, great gameplay and a good, gritty looking level.

In no particular order
(Recently released): A Score to Settle (Love the city missions)
Return to the City (See above)
Trapped! (Short but near perfect execution)
Alberic's Curse (Great suspense and beautiful, near perfect)
Glenham Tower (A masterwork in horror)
Awaiting the Storm (Excellent use of navigable shadows, a playground of non-linear play choices)
Mandrasola (Kinda the reverse of an escort mission, you are tailing your eventual victim...)
Fiasco at Fauchard Street (See city comment above)
Lockdown (Nice tense difficulty, great patrols...)
Too Late (Beautiful use of dynamic light sources, realistic dock environment and warehouse)
(Alright, I like all Sotha missions but Glenham and Mandrasola are my faves)...
If you like assassination missions, Jesps' "Mad's Mountain" is a tad easy but lots of fun.
If you like exploring and treasure hunting, Bikerdude's "The Caduceus of St Alban" and "St Alban's Cathedral" are prime missions for you.
Lastly,
Fieldmedic's "Betrayal" has excellent design and tension but it requires too much CPU resources for my old Pentium 4 so I can't fairly judge it. Likewise, many have issued acclaim for the NHAT trilogy but I can't enjoy it due to my poor hardware.
Really, given the percentage of quality missions, the pertinent question should be "which missions should I avoid?"
I would not feel comfortable offering too many of those. I can only suggest that "Winter Harvest" is not a conventional mission and will frustrate players who try to go by standard player conventions. Stumpy's missions, thus far, are often very puzzle oriented and can be frustrating for players that don't like either key hunts or mazes or conditional progress.

A Score to Settle for the single-mission experience, No Honor Among Thieves for the mini-campaign experience, and if you like those, you will probably try the others.

Thanks, I downloaded the above listed and it's such a treat to be able to finally try TDM FMs. Just played some of Return to the City.....I'm enjoying it, very Thiefy level so far!
Here's a (
http://store.steampowered.com/app/9050/) link to the Steam Doom 3 sale. For 5 bucks, I say it's well worth it just for TDM, even if you will never touch Doom :thumb:

Patently Dangerous, for obvious absolutely biased reasons. (It's my FM.) ;)
The really early FMs, mine especially, need to have re-releases to take advantage of the features of later TDM versions, though.

There are tuns of great missions, so I can't just pick one.
Flakebridge Monastery has this whole haunted, run-down atmosphere to it and I loved it! FM really was a surprise after Mad's Mountain. For a taste in the atmosphere, just listen to the soft tones that play in the basement where you start. They're simple, but very affective. Then we have the haunting music that plays in the outside portions of the map... and the occasional surprises which I won't spoil.
Illusionist's Tower was a bit controversial, but I loved that one as well. The part where I fell in love with it was the hallway with the number puzzle.
Both St. Alban missions also come highly recommended, the first being quite a bit smaller than the second.
Then we have Knighton Manor, a mission that is fun to replay every once in a wile. It is non-linear, with multiple points of entry and ways around the place.
Transaction has good story-telling and great scripted sequences.
No Honor Among Thieves is good, but unless you have a decent PC, it will likely be a slide show in missions 2 and 3. I'm hoping we'll see a new release of these with performance improvements some day, because TDM has features like rounding down of distant objects now.
Oh, and don't forget Glenham Tower! This one is guaranteed to make you jump at least once.
Then there's "A Score to Settle". No mission featuring a city environment has ever felt so alive! It is all in the background sounds...

My top five currently are
- Return to the City: excellent atmosphere, great sneaker, fun rope arrow exploration and nice backstory.
- A Score to Settle: recently released; great city mission with amazing atmosphere and care to detail. It's a bit hard though so I wouldn't recommend it straight away, but it's definitely one of the best.
- St. Albans Cathedral: huge city/cathedral mission with an interesting gameplay and cool story.
- The Heart of Lone Salvation: Excellent mansion heist with a very gritty and effective atmosphere, and a very cool story too. Kept me playing for more than 3 hours on Expert the first time.
- The Knighton Manor: Good mansion heist, a bit difficult on the higher difficulty levels.
