But you don't
hate Portal, you just hate the geekery surrounding it, IIRC.
I went back and read some of the game's dialogue, and realized it was really only near the end that it started to get on my nerves. For example, the whole cake-is-a-lie thing could've actually been quite eerie if the game didn't devolve into a giant meta-joke in the last act ("and also you're adopted. so that's funny too" etc). Comparisons to Shodan abound, but where she was frightening and intimidating, Glados reads like a writer trying hard to make his audience laugh. Psychonauts did not have this problem (must've been Schafer's influence).

I really like the sub-dub-beatbeats of the original Thief outro/credits.
And HL2 and Eps have cool end tracks.

Favorites would have to be (in no particular order)
Thief : Dark Project
Fallout 1+2
Castlevania : SotN (end boss music, credits is kinda... iffy, imo)
Castlevania : LoI (end boss, again, at least from what I can remember)

Did the HL2 eps have an end track? It's been 9 months so I don't really remember.
However, related, the theme that plays during the White Forest shootout will forever be one of my favourite HL songs of all time.
