Played Doom 64 on a huge 27 inch monitor back in the day with headphones in the dark. The experience was... unique. I wouldn't mind doing it again actually.

I wonder if IK+ was re-released today would it have a hardcore progaming scene?

On the C-64, my favourite music must've been Last Ninja (both first and second part) and Times of Lore.
On the PC, I've always liked the music done by Origin for their games, especially the Ultima series. One thing that was unequivocally great about Ultima VIII was the music. Legend Entertainment, Sierra and Lucasgames/Lucasarts also tended to have great music. IMO Monkey Island 2 features the best use of the iMuse engine ever, and the tunes were brilliant.

Right, because disagreeing with you makes me a troll. I've heard that before, and it doesn't stop being funny.
That was mainly to get you off my back and to piss you off. Apparently it didn't work.

You called it a knock-off remake. You don't know what it is.
But I've downloaded it before and played some of it. Since doom isn't exactly obvious about story in-game, how was I supposed to know it was a 'sequel'?:erg:

That's hilarious considering how much you're freaking out here. Grow a thicker skin already.

No it is not. It is a (
http://www.classicdoom.com/doomtext.htm#d64) sequel. Doom 3 is a remake. And anyway, what does it matter? It's Doom. It's the exact same fucking game. You grab guns, use those guns to slaughter monsters, grab keys, open doors. New textures and sprites aren't going to change that in any fashion.
It matters because those things DO change the game. The original is always going to be classic. Do you see modders modding doom 64 all the time? Nope. They're modding the original doom/doom2. But apparently the popular opinion goes against what I say, so whatever.
Yes I did, I knew you'd say that. You apparently didn't read my post thoroughly, or you just didn't get what I was saying. I guess it wasn't obvious enough.

Irrelevant. Most of the sounds are from the PSX version of Doom, which is otherwise mostly identical to the PC version. The PSX version also adds colored lighting to many of the old PC maps. I guess that means it's a remake now, huh?
That's true, they are from the PSX one. I never played the psx one, but now that you mention that I'm reminded of that fact.

Wil you shut up already and drop it? You don't have a point, all you ever do is pick fights with me (and others.)

My point was that you're way too fucking thin-skinned and flip out over the slightest thing.
Isn't the noise a problem for you, living by that airport?

Descent's soundtrack was vastly superior to Doom's (as well as every other aspect of the game).
No wai dewd. I still remember every Doom and Doom 2 tune but from Descent I only remember the first level's tune and the tune that incorporated the classical piece Aase's Death by Grieg.
