I'm totally with you on the former.
The latter, I have to say despite the bullshit regarding Diablo 3 going on right now, those jungle tracks were the sickest thing I have ever listened to in a video game.

The music perfectly suited the game, and had some of my favorite boss themes

Totally agree with you on the Streets of SimCity music. Did you also know that some of that music was reused in The Sims? I didn't know it until I had done some research, and then I also realized I had heard the music from Streets of SimCity. Another game's music that I enjoyed was the radio tracks from SimCopter, such as (

What about Donkey Kong Country? In particular, the water level theme. I remember thinking the sound chip in the SNES was just AWESOME and it was the first time I had to connect a console to something other than the TV's speakers. The tv speakers just couldn't do the sound hardware in the console justice.
