Thief 1/Gold: The mage towers, The haunted cathedral, and song of the caverns are my most favorable missions from Thief 1 because they all sort of represent all of the different things from Thief 1. The mage towers definitely represent how it's very mystic and magical which is one the things that I love most about Thief 1, how it has so many different aspects of magic in it. I also adore the ambients from the level and the arabian like theme of the mages and their towers :cheeky: Song on the caverns shows you what the nobility is like back in the old days before Thief 2 ;) and it's so fun eavesdropping on the actors and actresses and stealing their precious little trinkets :sly: I also love this and the mage towers because they're part of the main story of the talismans and that they're my favorite talisman missions out of the 4 of them. I don't really think I need to explain the haunted cathedral as that's alot of peoples favorite.
Thief 2: Life of the party and Trail of Blood. LOTP is very special and a very unique mission on it's own and everytime I play it I get a very nostalgic feeling and it makes me think to when I first played this mission and how fun it was to explore the city. I also loved breaking into that armory with that sunburst. It was so fun! I also loved to break into angelwatch and it's really fun to listen to all of Karras's Victrolas and you get to know more about the mechanists.
Trail of Blood is probably the only actual semi scary mission in Thief 2 and that's one of the reasons why I love it because the ghosts are quite creepy and it's a very atmospheric mission with neat little things along the way following the trail :joke: Speaking of the trail, that was probably my favorite thing about it when I first played it because I was curious as to where it would lead me next and it was very fun to follow it with all of the twists and turns, kinda like a maze :) I loved the conversation between the two apemen about their plumbsies:laff:
Thief 3:Robbing the shalebridge cradle. Anyone on here would know why me and many others love this and that is because it's probably one the most scary levels in any game. This mission has always scared the crap out of me (it's a good thing I'm not a loud when I get scared, I'm silently scared) and the puppets are always horrifying when you encounter them. Simply everything about this mission is scary and that's why I love it because I love scary games and scary things in games because I love getting creeped out and scared in games. I remember when I was shown the level when I was 8. It amazed me by how scary it was and I loved it watching the player sneak through the scary halls of the orphanage. Actually everytime I here the word orphanage or see it I always think about the shalebridge cradle, it's quite funny actually and it just shows you how memorable the level really is :D

Robbing the cradle and Life of the party may be very good candidates for best level in gaming :thumb:

I'm gonna be a bit original and say Song of the Caverns is my favorite in the trilogy, though The Unwelcome Guest/Life of the Party would be a close second.

I'm going to be very boring and say Life of the Party with First City Bank and Trust and the The Sword in 2nd and 3rd place.

10 is my favorite number, but level "Song of the Caverns" is for me as not the best of all levels, only a good level. The Unwelcome Guest is (for me) one of the best levels in Thief 1/2, but without level "Life of the Party". "The Unwelcome Guest" is of course better for me than "Song of the Caverns". The best level from T1 or T2? Hmmm... probably "The Mage Towers".

Probably common but Life of the Party without a doubt. That mission to me demonstrates more than any other mission in the trilogy what makes Thief great.
From The Dark Project/Gold, Assassins possibly, but I'm not sure. Maybe the Sword.
Deadly Shadows, Robbing the Cradle
And just to throw in an extra, Thief 4, Northcrest Manor. That to me was when Thief 4 came closest to truly feeling like a Thief game.

I would normally say The Sword but I'm gonna stick with Sabotage at Soulforge.

T1/TDP: Bonehoard & The Sword
T2/TMA: Trail of Blood & Life of the Party
T3/DS: Robbing the Cradle
I like Pagan/magic stuff, I love traps/puzzles/tombs, I love rooftops.
And robbing the cradle was just freaky-cool.

I hate The Mage Towers with passion. It's boring, it's to long and it has more platforming than the rest of the missions combined. I hate FPS platforming.
I love The Haunted Cathedral though. It's exquisitely non-linear, big and it has a great oppressive atmosphere. I would even say that I love its atmosphere more than its parent mission, RTC, which I also love to bits.
A part from these two obvious choices I also like Lord Bafford's Manor, Assassins, The Lost City.
I don't like Thief 2 very much, they changed the atmosphere to much and removed everything I loved about the original so I haven't played it so extensively as TDP, but the missions I enjoyed are Shipping & Receiving and Ambush.
