Completely off-topic, but since you're here: I've implemented your Keeper enforcer suggestions into (
http://www.ttlg.com/forums/showthread.php?t=143659) this thingy (note that the read-me text in the first post is more up-to-date than the one included in the FM, at least what concerns the manual tweaks). I hope you like it.

I hate The Mage Towers with passion. It's boring, it's to long and it has more platforming than the rest of the missions combined. I hate FPS platforming.
I love The Haunted Cathedral though. It's exquisitely non-linear, big and it has a great oppressive atmosphere. I would even say that I love its atmosphere more than its parent mission, RTC, which I also love to bits.
A part from these two obvious choices I also like Lord Bafford's Manor, Assassins, The Lost City.
I don't like Thief 2 very much, they changed the atmosphere to much and removed everything I loved about the original so I haven't played it so extensively as TDP, but the missions I enjoyed are Shipping & Receiving and Ambush.
On the contrary I hate Haunted Cathedral and prefer Mage's Tower. And it's really rare to find someone that prefers Thief 1 to Thief 2

Yeah, I remember your struggle to make them telepathic. It's good to see you made it. I will definately try your upgrades next time I play Thief 3.

I definitely prefer T1 to T2. It felt darker, grittier and just more moody. Mechanists and robots were never my thing.
Haunted Cathedral wasn't my favorite. A lot of it felt like aimless wandering through enemy territory. Had its redeeming moments though, like the keeper area and craymen in the sewers. There was something cool about exploring a quarantined part of the city, given over to the undead. But it got cumbersome by the end.

I understand, I like Thief Gold but I prefer 2 not only for the atmosphere and plot but also for the inventory sorting. Personally, I never found a way to use the mouse scroll in Thief 1, and that was a real mess when the inventory starts to be large.

Yeah, I know what you mean. I played it yesterday and this time I felt as if the mission was to empty, full of missed opportunities. In the end I hoped for more exploration but I was also pretty tired from all this sneaking around the dead. But its atmosphere is still superb.
I hate Down to the Bonehoard though. It seems that many T1 fans love it, but I just hate it. Not because of the undead (obviously) but because the boring level design.

I enjoyed Thief 2 more than Thief1/Gold mainly because Thief 2 had some really big areas and there was a lot of polish. Also they included secrets and hidden objectives what made exploring even more fun. Thief 1 had some really good levels but they just needed more detail (for example Baffords Manor felt really aimless there were a lot of empty rooms and not enough furniture) I think Deadly shadows had some similar levels like Thief 1, but there was more detail what made them feel a lot more arganic. Also Thief 1 had some really strange controls. Still a great game though...

Interesting. Was it the caves? Some of the caves started to look the same, but I really enjoyed exploring and finding hidden tombs throughout the network of caverns. I loved how large felt, a good mix of natural geologic formations and manmade structures (that's how it is in my mind anyways, I know going back they only had basic geometric shapes to build with so it's not as cool nowadays). The cylindrical (more octagonal really) tombs were a neat style. Plus the traps and puzzles just added to the intrigue of the whole place. And lets not forget the beautiful, soothing tunes of the horn, echoing through the chambers...I love it, oh how I love it!
I also really liked Lost City, for many of the same reasons. Odd, I guess I just like a lot of the missions that were more Tomb-Raider-y, with little to no human interaction. That was almost completely absent from Thief 2, that sense of ancient architecture and discovering lost realms, going places others would not dare tread. It was part of being Garrett that I feel the Thief series didn't fully return to after the first game. Don't get me wrong, I like sneaking into a manor through the sewers as much as the next guy, I just liked the other stuff a bit more.

I presume you liked the Krushok citadel in DS?
