I like the music from the Prince of Persia series myself (well except for all of the God Awful rock music) I also like the music from the Hitman games, and everything else I like has already been mentioned

Tristram was the song that played in Tristram.. Diablo 1 or 2. It is very memorable.

Arr, but my perception was that they fucked with it slightly in Diablo 2, just t'wasn't quite the same.
The rest of the original Diablo soundtrack was great too, it's a fabulous collection of wailing, percussion and drums if ever there was one.

I remember the "story" part of Diablo 1, in Diablo 2 they only have this 1 tome containing a quest, but in Diablo 1 all quests seemed so much more epic. And I loved finding those tomes that gave you a quest or described the universe of Diablo a little bit. The voice and text was really good.

You can Download many of the Diablo tracks - including Tristram from the Blizzard website.
I forget where exactly, it was a few months ago.

I was going to point that out last night, actually, and mention that there are several "outtakes" that weren't used in the game but are still well worth listening to. Unfortunately, while the file lists and descriptions are still available on Arreat Summit, the files themselves have been removed from the Blizzard FTP, so I didn't bother. Does anyone know of an alternate site to pick them up?
((
http://www.battle.net/diablo2exp/mp3/) This is the link to the file list on Arreat Summit; the outtakes are/were in the "Bonus MP3" section.)

But my favourite is Silent Hill 2 soundtrack, it could be released as good album of some music band, it's hard to believe it's a soundtrack for a game.
