My favorate weapon has to be barrels and tnt crates. Man i love my explosions plus the bonus is that with a little postioning gas barrels are great.
Spoiler
In the warn NSF mission manuver thous barrals shot them once wth the silenced pistol send measage then take pot shots at the guards relising they can't get you as the barrels are leaking gas.
Otherwise it has to be the sawed off head shot city.

My prefs were:
1) Stealth pistol with upgrades - got to a point where I was even using it as a medium range sniping weapon.
2) Riot Prod - quiet, quick, and even if it doesn't work the first time the target is immobilized.
3) GEP Gun - Mostly for robots or stubborn doors. :-)
4) Baton - early in the game it came in handy.
5) LAMs - early in the game, they were useful when I didn't have the GEP Gun yet.
That's about it. Being stealthy didn't require much in the way of weapons.

I'd go with:
1. Riot prod - best for silent takedowns.
2. Sniper rifle - once silenced and steadied a little bit, it is by far the most powerful rifle/pistol. And, if you can deal with the slight chambering delay, it can be very effective for up-close hits, too.
3. GEP gun - best lockpick in the game. And when loaded with WP rockets - well, lighting people on fire is one of the great joys of this game.
4. Dragon-tooth Sword - second best lockpick, great for close takedowns, and provides a free (albeit crappy) lightsource, to boot.
5. Stealth pistol - it doesn't have the stopping power of the sniper, but it's rate of fire is faster.
6. LAMs / Gas grenades - I love using these on proximity, not as enjoyable when just thrown. They can be very "sneaky" on proximity. EX: in the supertanker, you can trigger 2 of the 5 weld points by proximity LAMs, and be nowhere near them when they go off.
...
Bottom of the Barrel -
1. Plasma rifle - large, unweildy, tough to tell what you're aiming at. Didn't like it.
2. Flamethrower - ditto. Plus the flame doesn't shoot far enough.
3. (tie) LAW / PS2 (or whatever): One-shot deals? No thanks. I'll sneak around the baddies or find another weapon.
4. Flare darts. Someone needs to explain their usefullness to me right now.

Did anyone use the PS20 Plasma Pistol?? I only used it once and I payed for it.
"Eat Plasma you terrorist fuck!"
*flash, splutter*
"Heh heh. I didn't mean terrorist fuck per se...
ow I'm dead!"
It was like a little sparkler or something.

*lagh* Yeah, I had a similar experience; the trick, I think, is to keep the little stream on 'em for a couple seconds. I managed to take out an unalerted MJ12 trooper that way; the NSF member that I tried to tag in a similar fashion wasn't lethally affected, however... they may have a modicum of resistance.

Gads, can't believe I left out the mini-crossbow. It and the riot prod were my primary weapons throughout the game.
Even the normal darts came in handy after a bunch of upgrades. They did a great job of messing up the greasels with only 3-4 shots.

Crossbow, 10 mm, Sniper Rifle and Lightsabre... Sorry Dragon's tooth.

I was all about murdering people. I had the stealth pistol, assault rifle, automatic shotgun, sniper rifle, baton - for taking out pesky boxes and bums - and the riot prod when i was feeling nice. Dont ask me how i fit it all in my inventory.

Take death for example. A great deal of our effort goes into avoiding it, we make extrodinary efforts to delay it, and often consider its intrusion a tragic event. Yet we find it hard to live without it. Death gives meaning to our lives. It gives importance and value to time. Time would become meaningless if there were too much of it. If death were indefinetly put off, the human physche would end up like the Gambler in The Twilight Zone episode.

I also recall attempting to use the Plasma Pistol on the Statue of Liberty level. Im preety sure it ended with my death.
