I was a huge fan of the rifle - great for opening doors too.
The GEP is such an overlooked weapon - not at all my favorate but so useful - really valuable for opening things & removing turrets, doors, etc..

I relied heavily on the stealth pistol in the early game. The large clip and high refire rate are nice, and ammo is abundant. Unfortunately, it doesn't have enough range or stopping power, even when upgraded.

Sometimes, i liked to hold down the mouse button while using the baton. It felt like a vicious beating i was giving that person. I used it on that reported guy in the club and hospital - DAMN MY CARBON BASED MEMORY! - that i had to murder. Good times.

I've got my sniper rifle cranked so much I can take out cameras and turrets with one shot apiece.
GEP very useful, I get mine at the airfield, though, that's the first place you really need it though, so.
Stealth Pistol I put all of the upgrades that will no longer fit on my sniper rifle on it and it is working pretty good now.

Good, now you can go to second grade.

It was also fun to put the stealth pistol on full auto - holding down fire repeatedly - and running up to soldiers. The sound of 11 bullets hitting ths soldier in 5 seconds was GREAT!

I like the sneak approach...Large groups of guards just get LAMmed.
I have been happy with the Stealth pistol.
Head shots are the go. I use it often in sneaking around. I use the scope as binoculars and the assault rifle is great using short bursts.
I keep a sniper rifle and as many LAM's as I can in the inventory.
I don't like batons or swords or any of that crap....I just wanna shoot the bastards.
GEP's are a must, and if there's room, I kinda like the Sabot's.
It would be nice if the inventory was bigger, but I think it adds to the challange.

I'm a pistol guy...
Started another replay last night and this time I'm going through without any rifles at all (did that once already, but didn't use any heavy weapons either. Variety is the spice of replay).
Heavily modded and on master skill, either of the pistols can replace the sniper rifle. For unavoidable combat the standard pistol produces - for me - more consistent results than either of assault guns.
And besides it's mostly sneak, tranq, prod and silent kills for me. The Crossbow is a great one-headshot-one-kill weapon with regular dart.
Nonetheless, I love the sniper rifle as much as the next agent

Yeah - I'm playing though the second time & this time I'm only carrying things that JC can reasonably hide under his coat.
I found it amusing last time having a normal conversation with people while carrying a GEP, LAW, sniper & assult rifle.

I like adding a scope to the crossbow and loading it with tranq. darts: makes it just like Half-Life, but a bit slower. I'm also a riot prod fan because it's the closest weapon to Thief's blackjack. A damn fine weapon, that was.
