that's actually good for me. never played both expansions and can then after knowing FEAR in and out jump right into Proj.Origin....

If only because EP's ending was so unexpected. Hell, the whole expansion is on the whole much darker in tone than the original game.

Does it really matter if EP and PM are taken into account in Project Origin or not? Because they hardly had any story at all. And even if our buddy the Point Man got a big boom in his face at the end of EP; we won't be playing as him in Project Origin anyways.

anyways, i want new gadgets and levels and no more boring offices and a little something else in gameplay
(protection, assassination, stealth, all-out-war/squad). if they just reskinn and remap I aint gonna buy it....
no incentive, could just replay FEAR.....
story never interested me, was a real missed opportunity for Monolith, I suspect the cliches to continue in PO

I hope they do. The story and characters were a big part of the game's success. If you want to just go shoot some guys, play Serious Sam.

Mothra - no, PO has a different character, an SFOD-D member that gets implanted with the same abilities as the Point-Man during some quick experimental surgery. I guess this is how they will explain you having visions of Alma - the surgery involving some genetic modification taken from the Point-Man.

They can't even explicitly mention the F.E.A.R. forces, since the trademark belongs to Sierra.

I read somewhere that you won't be playing as Point Man in FEAR 2. I hope that is not true.

Also, since Fettel "respawned" in EP after you killed him in the original, it means he will be dead at the start of FEAR 2 unless Monolith decide to make him reappear as a part of that paranormal mumbo jumbo.

It really sucks that Sierra are being cunts about this. Monolith can't even mention THE NAME OF THE UNIT?

It occurs to me that this isn't the first company to sever ties with Sierra in a rather bitter way.
