My ati cards made the shadows look normal, also. Maybe it is an Nvidia problem?

It seems to be.

Played the demo, it kicks arse. Day 1 purchase for me.
Super linear with loads of scripting, but the original FEAR was just like that too so it's no big deal.
Got some minor complaints though:-* You find documents containing story details/flavour text, you can't scroll this stuff with the mouse wheel.
* Leaning was removed. CoD2+ were designed for consoles, yet the PC versions had leaning. There's no excuse really.
* You can no longer save anywhere, it's strictly checkpoint saving. But the checkpoints are plentiful and well placed, like the Infinity Ward developed CoD's from 2 onwards, so it's not so bad.

You've got to be kidding me! Damn, I can only try this tomorrow evening ... but this sounds bad. I'm addicted to leaning.

Fuck leaning. CAN'T SAVE ANYWHERE?
Fucking bullshit. Pounding the reload key is how I was able to do my no-damage playthrough.

I actually don't recall leaning all that much in FEAR. I favoured slow-mo over everything else though, so that's probably why.
Anyway, I gotta get my damn 'net connection fixed and download the demo. I hope it's not another half-assed PS3 port, because my TV's sharpen function isn't equipped to fight Monolith's infamous Vaseline Blur of Doom.

More nitpicks:-
* No native 5-button mouse support. Come on, this should be mandatory in this day and age.
* A fixed 16:9 aspect ratio, it scales to your monitor's native ratio (like Condemned and Assassin's Creed), so that's okay for us widescreen folk. You poor bastards with 4:3 CRTs/ancient 5:4 TFTs better pray that Racer_S releases an app that opens up the matting.

It's a very good PC port, IMO.
Oh and 360 is the lead dev platform for most multi-platform titles.

You're doing it wrong. Sharpen is not needed with modern TVs in the digital broadcasting and DVD age (especially so with HD). It was good in the VHS days, but utterly redundant now, detrimental to image quality actually.

Verily, sir, I am a graphics whore, and find the idea of a guide to setup my TV wholly revolting. Away with your link, if you please.
Also - good grief. I was being sarcastic.
I know that development leads on the 360 most of the time for multiplat titles, I'm just hoping that the PS3 version's good enough so I don't have to upgrade my PC.

You are turning into a strange, strange man.:joke:

My PC is still down, so I can't try the FEAR2 demo, but from the above comments I can tell that Monofilth are the newest victims to consolitis. To add to lack of leaning and no manual saving, I've read about that the replica soldiers' AI got downgraded noticeably.
