I think it's okay to say "dual development" when both versions are released simultaneously. "Port" evokes a later release on a different platform.
And anyway I fail to see what this has to do with expansions.

That Western games designed for consoles historically don't get expansions. If anything, you're more likely to get a quick and dirty "sequel" with a short development cycle.

Console games typically don't get expansions.
I guess you've missed the billions of additional maps, levels, quests and missions available on xbox live for pretty much every fucking game. I doubt we'll ever see traditional expansions anymore, episodic content is much more profitable (gta 4 anyone ?). Anyway I haven't played fear 2 so I can't comment on the ending, but I wouldn't be surprised if they released new levels as downloadable content. Pretty much every game does that nowadays. They remove a few levels from the full game so they can charge you 5$ for it on xbox live later on.

or tag on a different ending: see PrinceOfPersia

Trilogy, yes- Monolith would never abandon the girl who put them back on the map.
Though I hope they stop at the right time rather than milk the series after the last drops are gone.

Considering how long it took them to make a sequel, I doubt it'll be that much of an issue.

Micro-transactions aren't the same as full blown expansions. Also how often do they do they offer new fully blown single player campaigns with a few weapons, etc over Xbox Live? Yeah, not very often.

Did anyone else have weird graphical issues with FEAR 2? With an 8800GT and the recommended drivers at max detail I'm finding the aiming dot occasionally doesn't appear when I look through the iron sights, and there is a specific door shortly after the SnakeFist scene that seems glitched to hell - instead of a door, there's just a black wall that I can walk through, and when going through it in either direction the game stutters for a moment and slowly renders everything in the new area before returning to normal.

I'm running an 8800gt and I didn't notice the black door.
but the dot i did notice. I could just be making things up but It always seemed to happen when I was low on ammo in the clip, I thought it was some sort of warning in ironsight mode to let you know you need to reload.
I'll check it out and see.

I didn't have a problem, though to be fair I'm not using the latest drivers.
