I think you may be on to something there. It'd let Monolith be the dicks they want to be and then if you liked the game enough to want to play it again, by beating it once you earned yourself quicksave.

Well, I've finally finished this. I did quite like the twist at the end with Keegan being somewhat of a final boss.
In my opinion, this game is almost the opposite of something like Far Cry 2: it starts of a bit slow, but gets progressively better towards the end. In contrast, I loved first five hours or so of FC2, but by the end I was forcing myself to finish.
As for Still Island being reminiscent of the end of Stalker, I didn't really get that much of a vibe.
And finally, I really really want to punch Aristede in the face.

Just finished the game, much shorter than I expected. Minus those bloody annoying turret scenes where I had to lower difficulty to easy to stand a fucking chance, it was a decent game.
Oh, and where do I join the I-want-to-torture-and-kill-Aristide club? :)

Did you use slo-mo in the turret scenes? I found it made them almost ridiculously easy.

Yeah, that greatly helped but it gets very difficult when you can't see the bad guys most of the time, despite them glowing like lightbulbs. Messing around in the graphics settings helped to make them a little easier to spot (like lowering brightness and disabling HDR) but ultimately I was just too slow to spot them for hard to be possible so I had to give myself a bigger "error quota", otherwise I'd have no hair on my head after a while. :erg:
This wasn't a problem during the power armor scenes though, thanks to heat vision.

The turret sequences were amongst the only parts of the game where I actually needed to use the stockpiled medkits (bound to Z by default).

Too bad, already saw entire playthrough on YouTube
Shame too, looked like good enough game to buy.
Sucks to be you guys!

If you are hinting at the lack of 16:10, that did surprise me, but I'm a 4:3 user so I have no real reason to complain.
