Took a break from Duke Nukem and the Deus Ex beta to do something
less violent more fun.
Every year this time of year there's a local rancher who holds a big scenario paintball game on his ranch. I had some friends who went last year and I managed to go with them this year. Beautiful place, lots of action. Great bunch of guys to play with and new friends made forever type of weekend. Complete with all the homosexual innuendo, abundance of methane gas, and altogether too much cussing that is involved with a weekend camping with a bunch of guys. (about 80 came to the event)
I was wearing a head cam for some of it and here is a bit of footage that shows off the place.

Ohhh Willem Dafoe in Platoon. I was wincing in anticipation of some tale of spending a weekend in a cabin in the woods with a lady friend.
You've probably mentioned this before, but what sort of camera was it?

It was a GoPro, my buddy (the guy in the beginning with the long hair and the hat) uses a Contour HD, but the dont fit on my mask. So i borrowed the gopro from a friend, but it's a first gen from years ago, so no HD or widescreen. But at least I had something.

The long 24 hour paintball/airsoft games can be quite a bit of fun, especially if takes place in a large enough area that your general woodsmanship, tracking, and patrolling skills are more important than how quick your trigger finger is.

I still get lit up like crazy by guys with Egos and Minis, I was running a mag-feed.

I went paintballing for the first time just a couple of weeks ago and it was marvelous fun, but it was all done in ten minute zergs at this place. Don't get me wrong, I loved it and look forward to going again, and I do know why they do it that way, but we definitely came out wanting to try out some of these longer events where you can go stalking through the woods.
Any action footage to go with that, VA?
