I'm one of the people who really REALLY dislikes the knock out hammer, it's so uncomfortable to watch, so if you were thinking about maybe, perhaps, possibly using the blackjack mod? then that would be fine by me for one :cheeky: (just my opinion though)

I'm certain I read about a blackjack mod, but I can't seem to find it. Maybe I'm wrong and people were merely talking about wanting one? Or perhaps a few people just manually copied the relevant files from T2 and that was the "mod", I dunno. Strange.

The first video puts me in something of a bind. The game nerd/wannabe historian/modder in me loves it when people respect the flavour text. The video person is a little iffy about half the run time being reading things aloud!

I think a lot of Let's Players don't read text or only skim it, and understandably so. Early on, I had a few people say they liked when I read it aloud, so I just kept doing it. I've had several times when I expressed unsureness as to whether I really should read stuff, but people have kept telling me to keep on with it, so I do. At least then those who want to hear it can, and those who don't can skip it, so it's as close to a please-everyone thing as I'm gonna get, I guess.

Glad to see there are people still playing Thief 2x. Lately I've not had very much time for gaming juggling a full time job / being married. When I get that nostalgic itch it's great to watch a few let's plays! Will definitely be reinstalling...

that reminds me - there were some things that were always bothering me a bit, for example;
-why are the items (healing oil, flashbomb etc) so dully colored and blurry?
-why are the explosions so flat looking?
-why are the torch flames so flat looking?
all seem a bit strange, as T2x does an amazing texture job at other places.
