Me again. I finished the game for the first time and am now on NG+. Are there entire new areas that open up, or does NG+ primarily consist of mopping up bits, cubes, secrets etc.? Also, so far the new ability seems to be a bit of a gimmick that might reveal the occasional hidden thing, but it's in no way comparable to the Fez in how it influences gameplay. Am I missing something about it?
On a different note, though: I enjoyed this one a lot. IIRC dethtoll compared it negatively to Cave Story, a game that didn't particularly click with me, but I very much liked the gameplay of this one, the visuals and especially the music.

There are some secrets that are only solvable with NG+ but yes, it doesn't have as much of an effect as the fez itself on the gameplay. Having said that, I was surprised by some things I'd missed during my first run and at least one area I hadn't visited at all without realising it.
