For that matter I vastly prefer Filefront to anything else when looking for game patches. This is terrible.

Well, the good news is some of the various modding communities are taking action by taking the time to download the entire databases for their respective games. Like for example, the KOTOR community has downloaded all of the mods already and stored them. They're not sure how they will redistribute yet, but at least the files won't be lost.
So, it will suck that we can't get it all in one spot, but the stuff will still exist (for the more popular games at least).
