I have tried to download the final final komag thief dvd's from the two different links that were listed in another thread. The first torrent will show just a bunch of lines of code. When you try to right click on it and even if you highlight everything it gives no option to save anything. I have tried in aol 9.5 internet explorer. I also tried to goto the link in utorrent. None of this worked. The other site will download a zipped 312 kb file no matter how I try to download it. Below is the two links I am talking about. I would like to have had these 8 dvd's. But I didn't even know about them. All of my friends have moved away and I have no contact with anybody that likes to play video games. If I can get a link that works or pay for the dvd's. I would be happy to.

OH. I also tried to right click on each link. It would let me save as. But it saved the same things. Just a screen that looks like a directory tree and the other just downloaded a 312 kb zip file.

I was seeding this torrent for a while, but then it just died. You could try emailing/PMing Komag, but his site says the DVD set was "retiring" back in May 2012. Someday I might upload it to Southquarter, but it's a whoppin' 33 gigs, so it might take a while.
I suppose I could look into starting a torrent, I have no idea how to do it though.

I did the "save as" thing on the zipped file link in the (
http://www.ttlg.com/forums/showthread.php?t=139339&p=2129896&viewfull=1#post2129896) original post . Once I opened that, it had the proper torrent file in it. I seed it when I've got my torrent program running but there's rarely anybody downloading it. If you can get it to work, PM or email me and I'll seed it and leave my computer on until you're done.

I have tried everything that everyone suggested. Thank's for the input. I don't know for sure but I think there might be something keeping me from downloading the torrent files. I tried to use Brethren's link. But I just got a slightly bigger file. I think it was 612 kb. I am useing a wireless router on my computer. I wonder if that would have anything to do with it? What I need is some way to test the system and make sure I can download torrent files in the first place. I wonder how I might do that?

Sometimes protection software will kill a legitimate download.

Well I got the zipped torrent site to work. But it is rely slow. I guess that is because there are no other people downloading from there. What I had to do way unzip the tiny file I downloaded and open it. Then utorrent started up and I picked the place where I wonted to put the files. I just don't like letting my laptop run that long. My main computer is not working right now. I can hardly wait to get this stuff downloaded. I have never tried to download this much stuff at one time.

Thank's to everybody that helped in the download. I think it downloaded ok. I have dusted off my copy of Doom 3 so I can install the dark mod. I can hardly wait. I will install my copy of Thief 1, 2, 3, so I can try out some of the other goodies as well.
