What about the Mate's log aboard the Abyssmal Gale? I couldn't ever find it.

Its in the most lower decks, next to a "sleeping" zombie, ontop of little wooden box.

No, that's the manifest. I'm looking for a document in which the mate writes about captain Moira's strange behavior and planning a mutiny.

That note is onboard of the Abysmal? I can only remember one note there and thats the manifest.

There is a Wikipedia Thief III article which mentions it. Also, in 'books\english\' directory there is a file called 'DOC3mateslog'. But it looks like that note wasn't included in the level, just like many others in the game, it would seem...

Well, that solves it. Started to think I forgot something in there... And I hate zombies so wouldn't want to go back there.

I got framed and went home and the only note is the one directing you to black alley. I guess my game is bugged because I gave her the wine and left the loot bag and got nothing in return. Oh well, thanks for trying to help!

Three things to do to get the note and the bottle of wine from the widow:
1: Set a glass on the table beside her. (the widow isn't going to swill right from the bottle like the rest of us commoners would :)
2: Set a bottle of wine on the table.
3: Don't take the loot in the chest along with the codex.
That's what worked for me anyway. Leaving out any of those didn't accomplish that little 'bonus'.

Thats most likely the problem. I just dropped the wine on the table behind her and got the response. I will have to try that on a future play through.
Thanks
