Finished: Musings about Paul, etc. (spoilers) - by Melissa

Hello,
I just completed the game, and did what I expect lots of folks did and played all three endings. Not sure which I like best - they all have their ups and downs.
I'm wondering what plots threads occured for people where Paul Denton died in New York. In my game, I kept in alive and at the end he was there to have a last encouraging talk with JC. It was as JC entered Area 51 and encountered either the second or third holomessage unit.
What occured there for games where Paul died?
Another question: now that I've finished, I was reading on here about Easter Eggs in the game. I found references to a fourth ending but was unable to find any instructions. Was that a joke, perchance?
Last question: I've heard that they're planning DeusEx 2. But... how? Especially with the three wildly divergent endings?
Cheers!

Warren says they're going to manage the endings like it hasn't been done before, that's all we know.
And Paul doesn't do much except show up at Tracer Tong's in HK and talk to you at the end.
The fourth ending is a joke, yes - it can be accesses through the cheats if I recall correctly. Will dig it up. :)
Edit: activate the cheats, go to the credits and type "danceparty", the keystrokes should be heard. That'll get you to the fourth "ending".

The three endings, although quite different can be resolved because their outcome can be made to be similar.
As for the 4th ending, press T (or which ever key you bind for talk), delete the words "say", and then type open 99_endgame4.

Thanks for the tips to see the silly stuff :)
Re: Paul. Very interesting. If you save his life, you get to keep in periodic contact with him throughout the game. In character, it helped me because Paul is the only person JC could totally trust. Makes me wonder what other plots shifted depending upon choice points.
I was able to save that guy's daughter at the gas station - he was thankful, and showed up personally later on with a small gift of an augmentation upgrade. Did that change if JC was unable to save her life?
Cheers!

If you don't save her he gets sad forgets about the aug. That's all I remember. And I think it's him who you talk to in Area 51 instead of Paul if you don't save him. Doesn't make much of a difference. :)
