While I would prefer the original setting for this game, I wonder if it'll have to be tied-in to the FPS version's backstory for marketing purposes. I wouldn't have a huge problem with it I suppose, as long as Avengers are still in anyway. :p

I was wondering whether this got the OK because the franchise mind share will be boosted by the FPS XCOM, which in turn was OKed because of the original strategy game's reputation.
