Well, the Will O'Wisp is found at Lights -> MagicLights -> Will O'Wisp. Open it up and look at the ParticleAttachments.
I imagine that you could add the particle effects to the RightFinger joint. You might need one of GayleSaver's scripts to get it properly attached if you add the effect later. I don't really know how to go about adding it in advance so it works as soon as you pick up the sword.
You've peaked my curiousity. Maybe I'll have to play with this a little, especially since other folks have had problems as well. I'll report back if I get anything figured out.

Oh. That's what that is.... It must be for dromed 2 because I don't have magiclights
in my dromed.:(

In short: Making a flaming sword is more trouble than it is worth. :p
I just remembered that when you take out a sword the sword doesn't get drawn, instead Thief creates a new Plyarm object that is used to give you the illusion that you are holding the same sword. So everytime you drew the sword you would have to readd the particle effect to Plyarm object.

Maybe your right..... But I want a freakin' Fire Sword!! I'm going to try anyways..... I have the "more damage" part and so all I need now is fire particles on the sword!!! (Hey, if I can't do it to Garrett, then maybe I could do it to an ai!! )
But thanx for the advice anyways.....;)

Adding the fire sword to an AI will be possible.

YES! Thanx Dark Arrow. That is what I shall do then I suppose......:thumb:

Adding fire to an AI's weapon would be a whole lot easier, because the weapon already has 2 joints, one at the tip, and one at the hand/heft.

I'm really lost.....:tsktsk: How would I do it in dromed then??????
How would I add particles to the sword the ai is holding? Someone please help me.
Thanks in advance.;)

Have a looksie at (
http://www.geocities.com/ataricom2/files/partdemo.zip) this here demo. It is a simple sword guard with a particle effect attached to his sword. I guess you want something like this if you want to forget the player's sword and tackle the ai first.
Also included is a chart of a standard biped with all the joints labled.
EDIT: right click the link to download the zip!

I know! Garrett can shoot them at unsuspecting guards. When they hear the thud, they'll go searching. Then, not getting suspicious in the least, the guard will pick up the cheese and gorge himself on it, belching quite loudly afterwards... And moments later, to the barracks to sleep it off ;)
