Did the little demo I made help anyone? I'm concidering going back and making it easier to understand. You know, actually writing a tutorial, using more examples, things like this.

Yep. It sure did help. I like it. ;) It is very easy to understand. Don't need a tut unless you don't know barely anything about DromEd..... One thing tho, (it doesn'thave to do with your mission....) I would like it if it was possible to make the particles be around the WHOLE sword spinning around it like fire. That's what I was hoping for. Thanx for the mission tho, I already used the idea! :thumb:

As far as I know, it can't be done with particles. Maybe Gaylesaver has something up his sleeve to help though. ;)

Oh, well thanx anyways for your help, ataricom! :thumb: I suppose this thread is overwith now... I have nothing else to say, except that even tho I couldn't acomplish this, I'm glad for all the help I got in this thread.....

So, did Gaylesaver ever get around to this? Is it even possible? I'm sure somebody has a better idea about this fire sword by now.

I just recently managed to create a working flaming sword for the player, (while trying to do something else, of course).
It doesn't use any special script.
I'm currently working on a demo mission for it.

That's great, and I can't say as I'm surprised you managed to do it. You Dromed genius, you...
If I ever resurrect my Bonecrusher FM, I'll certainly make use of it.

:o Ooo, interesting. I would like to know about this flaming sword. Please explain it to me. Even if it isn't really what I want, I will still check it out. So, let me know when you got that demo of yours out.;)
Nameless_Voice on 27/4/2004 at 19:02
The demo will be for Thief 2, but I'll probably write a tutorial to accompany it.
