Me again. :D
I have been on this mission for hours and hours, and am completely stuck. I'm trying to get into the vault but I can't get past the guards in the big lighted central area- after backtracking and circling dozens of times I'm convinced I have to go through there or I can't get to the vault. I did take out the mechanist thing that stands in that room, but can't get past the guard and mechanical eye on the other side of the pillar.

Am I completely screwed? :erm: I'm also out of water arrows and only have one flashbomb. I'm thinking I have to replay the entire mission but that just makes me want to cry sobby tears.

If you've collected two of the three different key types, you can probably go outside and come in through a back entrance.

Just out of curiosity, how is it that you don't have any rope arrows?

Go down stairs. Go to the rooms just before the lobby. Go out the door at the right as you face the lobby. Work your way back to the (actually toward the front of the bank). There is a room by the hall to the side door that has a safe a couple of desks and a window (opening) that has an EYE in it.
At the far side of the room is a low flight of stairs. Open the door. Cross the bridge. Open the door and wait. A Warbot will come from your right. When it passes FOLLOW IT.
It will walk around a mezzanine just past the security room. When you get to the end of the mezzanine, open the door. go down the stairs into the room under the stair. In that closet is the switch to kill the EYE in the room.
Open the vault and take a careful look before you go in. You can avoid all the eyes in the vault by timing your moves.

I didn't start the mission with any. I had several on the last mission, but none this time. I can't remember if there were any to buy or not- I do know that I was trying to get moss and water arrows.

Ok, I got to the vault, saw the locking bar so I went to the basement and flipped what I thought must be the valve that runs it. Made it back to the vault and... still locked?!!1! &$#@(*!/ I read elsewhere that the locking bar will automatically lift after 8 hours game time, but how do I know how long that will be? I must be pretty close, I've been in this infernal bank for hours.

It's not a valve that releases the pole. There is a control room in the basement with a large squarish machine that has a control panel on it. You need to push the buttons on the control panel until you get them to all stay in at the same time. When you get it right, the light will turn green. It's been a while since I played this but I think that's accurate.

I finally got it and finished the mission- holy gods, I think this could qualify as a "how not to do this level." :p The good part being that I'm sure I got all the loot, and by the end everything was so cleared out that I could pretty much run back to the basement and return.
