We all know you'll buy it the week it comes out. :thumb:
You wanna bet? There is such a thing as growing up. I just bought a house. Aside from that, I haven't had disposable income for nearly ten years. Spending money on TDS was a huge deal for me, I saved so I could buy it when it came out, and I certainly didn't feel it was worth the money. If I don't like what I see Eidos doing with the new game, I'm not buying it. Simple as that. As for elitism, you can shove that comment up your ass.

In a game as interesting as thief, why is the longest thread on the forum about where the bloody camera should be located?
:(
It's not like we're even arguing about something radical ... maybe I should suggest a bird's eye view ... :sly:
Take THAT, sound propagation ...

It's MORE than THAT, and it's been detailed out. I repeat, it's not 2004/5, anymore. The history is set in stone, and the MYTHS that dismiss TDS's damning flaws continue. The Incorrigibles remain incorrigible trolls. They, in fact, contribute greatly to the inability to get past the old arguments, while mocking those who are looking forward for comments they provoke out of people.
This is a thread ABOUT that camera and its placement, for taff's sake. :laff:
We cannot have the critical and top priority 1st-person if 3rd is implemented. It cannot NOT be compromised.

Was that a response to me?
If so, I'm going to request some specific arguments that I can respond to. I'm not entirely sure what you are referring to with "myths", "damning flaws", "history", "mockery", and "provokation".
And yes, this is a thread about camera placement. That's fine. But it's a pity the 1st vs 3rd person issue attracts more commentary and passion then anything else. We are discussing the intellectual legacy of LGS, and spend most of our time in a 1st person vs 3rd person debate? It's disheartening.

How about 4th person game? You play as a friend of the 3rd person Garrett. That should be a good looking female character about 23 years old. We first met her at the end of the Deadly Shadows as a young girl with inclination for stealing purses.

A cast of thousands! Okay, maybe... five.
Three missions each, with separate stories that weave together at the end, and you choose who to play for the endgame.

...and multiple endings for each character. Thief IV: The Story Dissolution Serum

I'm glad you took it as a joke. I wasn't serious anyway. lol

Not buying a game is not equal to not playing it. You can borrow it from a friend to play it or rent it from a store, there are other options too....
If there is 3rd person I will not support eidos Montreal by paying for the game, I will find one of the other ways to "just" play it and then forget it.
