Wonderful FM. I am absolutely loving it. I love the castle!!
I need help with the telescope above Roland's room. I'm on the roof, where you can look all the way down to the first floor where the inside garden is. Is that the right location for it? because I've scoured that place and can't find it. That's the only place I can figure that's over Roland's room.
Also need help with the secret door. Is it the one you get to in roland's lift? where there are 3 red glowing things like in a cave passage and it leads to a black iron gate beside which there is a lever?

Regardless of which difficulty level you selected, you are already equipped with four rope arrows when starting the mission. I belive you don't find any other rope arrow in the mission. You can usually retrieve your rope arrows after using them, so you should not run out of rope arrows too soon in this mission. If you destroyed yours, or cannot retreive them, however, you most likely have to reload an earlier save or even to restart the mission.
Retrieve your rope arrows whenever you can - many missions rely on that.
Furthermore, I only need one of these arrows to enter the house where Alred lives - right at the beginning, when I'm standing in a cliff wall and have to use a rope arrow to get to the house right before me, which has a piece of wood sticking out from the wall near the ceiling. I shoot one of my rope arrows into that piece of wood, jump at the rope once it has fully deployed itself, and then climb up to the top window, which is not locked and can be opened. After jumping in, I can retrieve the rope arrow by leaning out of the window a bit and grabbing the arrow once it lights up. Now I'm in the house where Alred
sleeps and where his office is located.If you somehow went out of this house, you most likely can get in again either by getting rid of the guard at the front entrance and picking the door's lock, or by travelling through the hidden
tunnels below the estate. One of them leads into Alred's office. You may even get into the house by one of the open windows on ground level, but I am not sure of that.
To get Alred's
murder log, you have to get
a message from Catherine first. It's been a while since I played the mission, but I believe I found her
in the dungeon somewhere below the house. You should find a key to
the dungeon in one of Alred's rooms. I think you have to
visit Catherine and get the message for Alred from her, then deliver it to a small table to the right of Alred's bed. Once the objective to obtain his murder log appears, a
second book in his office becomes frobbable, and once you use it, a
painting above the couch should move aside, revealing the log.

I played this one last night (and managed to kill myself doing something risky and stupid - so I'm gonna have to give it another shot). It's quite good, and large enough to keep you occupied for a while. I could quibble with a few things - there are a lot of biiig empty areas without much going on, and a couple smaller areas that seem unfinished, and some minor copy-and-paste sameiness with a few rooms - but overall it's an enjoyable mission that you can sink your teeth into. Just wanted to bump it to the top for anyone else who's looking for a nice, big estate sneaker!

Haha I had to laugh at myself, because I found 7 of 8 switches without the explanation of the tiger´s way. I thought it was supposed to be like that and when I found the actual explanation I facepalmed really hard xD And then I had the explanation but had a really hard time finding the switch in father´s room. For anyone who needs to know aswell, it´s in the attic above roland´s room. You can hit a rope arrow on the opened ceiling and then in the attic have to go outside on the roof, where there stands a telescope.
Very nice mission though! Is there a continuation of it? In iron butterfly we stole 4 keys after all ;)

He did one more and then quit. Claw of the tiger is the 3rd I believe.

Thank you stingm, gotta look for that one. Do you have a link to it by any chance? How sad, was there a reason why he quit? Maybe started in the game industry aswell?
