This idea popped to my head this morning: I never figured out why Karras hired Truart to kill Garrett. Déja vu. Not long time ago I wondered the meaning of the two other women in Viktoria's glade later in the game (thread "Pagans vs. Hammers" or vice versa). Could someone explain this 'cause Garrett helped the Order in TDP and the whole revenge-
idea is this way quite awkward...

Those monotonic lines are repeated time after time but somehow I've managed to miss them (probably running away from the Spideys...).
Only speech I heard properly from those loudspeakers was that "Build thyself a good house" -line. Hoped that important things like this was written down in a diary or alike. Builder bless the New Scripture!!! At least non-UK/USA can get something out of it.

I mean that New Scriptures are in written form. Those (many, not all) who do not speak English as a main or a second language have more difficulties to hear the lines properly when they must also keep attention to what is happening on the game. Written text lets the player to relax and focus on the lines and what is between them. I got Eximia cum laude approbatur
in English and I still have some hard time to comprehend what is spoken in Thief (those laudspeakers didn't help, either). I like playing with words, specially in English ((
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jeeves_and_wooster), M-U-
S-T!!!). Spoken is just harder than written. Hope you guys didn't get wrong impression.

I'm probably the only one to do this... remember, it's the General Discussion :p
Hm... well, Moasley's letters do claim that the Mechanists are out to get all Pagans and "some poor soul, named Garrett". So I assumed that Karras fears Garrett's ability to be at the right place in the right time. Or the Builder did indeed speak to Karras(if the Trickster exists, why shouldn't the Builder?) and mentioned the danger that Garrett poses to be. Remember that in Party Karras knew that Garrett would be there? And had a mechanist recording thingie waiting in his office.
Referest thou to Dyan and Larkspur?
Garrett deals with Dyan again in
Deadly Shadows, but the MALE minion, Larkspur...I've not heard of him outside
Metal Age.

Eximia cum... what?
Jarkko Ranta on 28/4/2006 at 05:16
Eximia cum laude approbatur is the second-highest garde (9 from 4 to 10 or B, depending the system) in Finland's (and propably some others')
sixth form's/upper secondary school's graduation exams. Not bad, could say. (But I'm humble when I need to be...)

Regarding Larkspur in TDS: Oh good! He's rarely ever mentioned in the forum threads I've read, so it's good to know he's around, doing something!
Spix! Man oh man, would I like to help, but yes, my resources are still limited. Please do what you can! Thanks for telling me. When you find that you hit a wall due to time, energy, resources, etc., I'd still like to see what you've done.
And for those that don't know what we're referring to:
