Due to the nature of my job there are often times when I have nothing to do for 2-3 hours and I'm tired of playing the same Tower Defence games over and over again, so I decided to make a thread about various interesting games, that require no download and can run directly from a web browser.
There are already some games mentioned in the Freebies thread, but there are also a lot of normal games that must be downloaded and installed to run, so it's probably better to have a dedicated thread instead.
To get things started, here's what I've been playing for a while:
(
http://www.towerdefence.net/) http://www.towerdefence.net/ - a collection of some of the most interesting Tower Defence games out there. I recommend Vector TD, Desktop TD, Antbuster and Bloons - all of them quite different and fun, and a gaming session can be completed in as quickly as 5 minutes. If you have a couple of hours and like more complex turrets and combos, definitely try Onslaught - my personal record is around wave 400 (took me some 4 hours to reach).

Motherload
A game where you control a mining robot, dig down and collect minerals from mars. The game does have a save feature, allowing you to preserve your stats, cash, and equipment from one playsession to another.

That's not a browser-based game, you should post it in the Freebies sticky instead. ;)

Two images, spot the 5 differences. If you can spot the differences at the park level with lights on tree, I humbly bow at your feet. Also, with each load the differences change ever so slightly. ;)
