I have just found a small Thief 1 mission called "Drunken demo" by Gonchong. Garrett enters a part of the Old Quarter nearly without any weapons and encounters some undead and several weird things, including large jumping mushrooms and a platform moving down a long ramp. Later on, Garrett enters a church and finds a sword.
Although "demo" suggests otherwise... does anyone know whether one can actually finish this mission?

Where did you find this FM? It's not on thiefmissions...

Thiefmissions doesn't host many demos - this one is at The Keep, (

So did he actually do something to make it play as if you're drunk? That would be cool. Dahsjianta did some neat thingns in
Curse of the Carnival to simulate the 'curse', most noticeably on the arrows at the shooting range.

No, actually the fuss about being drunken just explains why Garrett jumps into the Old Quarter with almost no weapons. Or maybe this explains some of the weird monsters in there, along with a servant who... Oh well, you better see for yourself!
Concerning
Curse of the Carnival: I only remember playing something called
Curse of the Carnival BETA and did not recognize anything unusual about the arrows at the shooting range. Did you play a newer version? And what happened to
you (or your arrows) at the shooting range?

When you try to shoot them, they go in various different directions other than where you're aiming.

I don't think it is possible to finish this demo. Don't have DromEd installed to verify this, though.
All three difficulties ("Goo", "Gee" and "Gaa") seem to be the same. In each, I found the sword and 15 in loot. There are some good elements I wish would have been part of a completed mission: The church looks pretty nice, especially with the debris and bones scattered everywhere. The ride down the slope at the beginning is pretty neat. Also, try to kill the servant carrying the tray.
