This is one of those old old fms, and the search function doesn't really look specifically for "first person shooter" the fm name, but I just have a question for those who have actually played it:
I can't seem to run this fm on my computer. The main title screen is fine, but when I try to load the mission it gives a "illegal sutdown" kinda thing. I downloaded from southquarter amd keepofmetalandgold, but both of them seem to follow the same pattern. Is there some script I'm missing or what?

Did you look at the readme in the zip file? If not, you need to do this first:

You have to open DARK.CFG, and change your obj_min line to: obj_min -10000
THEN
Put the fpsdemo.zip in your thief missions directory. Run DarkLoader

Why the author didn't just include the modified dark.cfg in the mission ZIP is a mystery.

Editing dark.cfg is apparently not necessary anymore on NewDark 1.26 and when opening the demo through FMSel 1.1.2. I tried it and could complete the demo.

where did you find this mission I tried Southquarter and Thief Missions, but no luck
