Both "Being Thief" and "Exile (Being Thief 2)" have a naked woman using a shower. I know I've played a third mission that also had a naked woman in a shower, something from 2000-2002, but I cannot remember what is was. I'm pretty sure it was a female blue coat in a police station shower, if anyone with a better memory can think of what mission that would be. Also I'm sure there are plenty of missions with brothels, off hand I know TTGM Errand Boy has one.

I just wonder if it's really worth the community's time to put together a list like this. It's so subjective what content is not for children, and the amount of children playing these missions must be such a tiny group of people.

First of all, he didn't write that nudity is a problem :cheeky:, just that it bothers his son, or that it bothers him knowing his son could face it in a FM. He's the only person here to tell what's good or not for his son, and that's his problem only. We don't care about politics or ethics in Virginia, it's off-topic there. He's not saying nudity should be prohibited, he just wants to be warned about it.

But a few of you seem to focus on the nudity aspect of the problem, while the kid got frightened by a mission specifically designed for adults, and there are many FMs rather similar. As an example, I don't recall there's nudity in Shadows in our Blood, but the mission is heavily focused on the theme of torture, and that could be too tough to handle for a kid's mind as well.

While a 9 years old kid shouldn't play Thief 2 in the first place, I think it's fair to at least put a general warning for a few FMs.

I should mention that in "Deadly Triangle", I placed "Sarah" in "Ramirez Mansion" in a back room. It should also be rated.

I know it is a grey area between what is appropriate or not appropriate when it comes to such things as nudity, violence, etc. As far as nudity, I've only seen a few images/mods that were questionable, if at all. My main reference was to unexpected violence within the games perimeters of what is normally expected. We have a "no-attack" rule when it comes to human AIs. Anything other than knock outs is no allowed. If it's unavoidable in the mission, then we simply don't play it. Actually, my son came up with that idea. As I said, he's very mature for his age, which is why I took that into consideration when it came to the MATURE rating of Thief. Taking that into consideration, I was moreso addressing the missions that contain bloody murder scenes, impaled heads, and environments that have been created to be much more scary than the usual Thief gameplay. I think we've all had a few mission moments that were simply made to scare the shit out of us. All of that is okay with me. I was merely asking for whoever was willing to put a small note in thief FM introduction. This is not to insult the creations that these artists create, before anyone starts to blow that horn.

As with nudity, violence, etc. a mature rating, and maturity itself, is subject to observation.
