Is there a step by step instructions to get the FM Selector to work on Thief Gold?
I have tried to put the FMsel folder into TG but that did not work. Or is there a separate download for the Selector? One not packaged with tafferpatch or newdark?

Here's what I use:
1. Create a second shortcut for your Thief Gold executable and place it on your desktop.
2. Enter the shortcut’s properties, and add ” -fm” at the end of the target line. Apply and exit.
3. Double-click the newly edited shortcut to start FMSel, and follow the on-screen directions.

I sort of get what you're saying here. FMSel has been designed to assume that people will want to reinstall their FMs again, and so it won't allow you to delete FMs if you don't have the original zip files. You have to go into the designated directory of the unzipped FMs and delete their folders. Doing so, you will lose everything associated with that FM, and clear up space that you want.
Deleting the zips first can slow down the process of removing FMs, it seems. So for future reference, uninstall the FM in FMSel first, then go and delete the zip.
As for refreshing the list, well, that goes along with the issue above. It only dissapears when you've removed both the FM in FMSel and it's zip file, in that order. Or if you've done it backwards, then you remove the FM's directory in the unzipped FMs directory (default is "fms" in the game directory).
Hope this helps.
how do i unistall a mission with fm selector?

Right click on the mission and select 'Uninstall'.
Or do you want to get rif of a mission permanently (deleting the mission ZIP)?
Then you would need to delete the ZIP manually and then fire up FM Sel again and probably CTRl+rightclick on the mission and select 'Delete from database'

Afternoon
Is it possible to specify an FM archive folder thats not inside the game folder..?
game folder - e:\games\thief\t3
mission (archive) folder - d:\downloads\games\thief\missions\t3
When I try I keep getting the completely non-sensical error "the archive path may not be inside the FM path, or visa versa".
gnartsch on 5/1/2014 at 20:22
That should definetly work.
I recall having gotten that message in earlier version of TDS FMSel.
So, make sure you have the latest version.
Also, check where exactly FMSel tries to install the missions (which is typically outside the TDS root folder) as follows.
Once you spotted the place with the TDS SaveGames (typically in C:\PROGRA~3\DOCUME~1\Thief - Deadly Shadows\SaveGames),
find the subfolder 'User Options' and check the file SneakyOptions.ini
-->
InstallPath=D:\Games\Thief3\FMs
The FM archive path must not be inside that InstallPath folder or the other way round. That's what the message says.

The FM Selector mentioned in the first post is for NewDark (T1/T2), not Thief 3.
