The FM Selector mentioned in the first post is for NewDark (T1/T2), not Thief 3.
But its based of the same code?

yeah that's the one I'm using, on a fresh install of T3, then SU with default options.

Also, check where exactly FMSel tries to install the missions
SneakyOptions.iniDoh, that was the issue. Somehow SU made the install path and the FM path the same when it was installing itself (as I don't remember being prompted).
I will uninstall SU and delete the ini file and then reinstall to see if the above happens again. If so I will PM Snobel so he is aware.

Yes, with minor changes. You can actually use the SU FMSel.dll in a T2 install and gain some small functionality improvements.

The default path for FM installation is in C:\ProgramData. The most likely explanation is that you had a SneakyUpgrade.ini file from a previous install. (Uninstalling both the SU and the game will not delete it, you have to do it manually.) If there's an existing file the path will not be changed.
Note that there's an item you can tick in the installer if you want to specify a custom FM install path. If you do that the line in SneakyOptions.ini will be updated the first time the game is run after installation.

Please do. :) I'd better mention that a new version of the SU is just around the corner, in case you're up for some beta testing? The main attraction for FM playing is that you can now have John P's textures applied, and there's a bunch of new tweaks, mainly taken from the Minimalist Project.

When you install SneakyUpgrade, it asks you to select the InstallPath for FMs.
Probably you misinterpreted that being the FM archive folder. That happened to me a lot in the early days. :p

The newer versions don't ask by default. But I should probably add a clarification to the dialog just in case.
