I have problem with installation of fm's via either garretloader or the darkloader. I've downloaded few missions for Thief Gold and Thief The Metal Age and everything seemed to install correctly and no error or bugs occured but when I'm starting TG or TTMA I see changed title and difficulty names but oryginal campaign is still loading instead.
Also garrettloader is unable to detect my t2x installation and I can't add the path manually.
For TG I've installed first tfix 1.23 and hdmod and for TTMG first tafferpatcher and also hdmod. My games are not installed in program files etc. (I've created separate folder). I've bought both games on gog, my operating system is w7.

I've only ever used GarrettLoader for T3. No reason to use it for TG or T2.
As for the TG or T2 FM install issue that keeps starting "Running Interference" instead of the FM you just installed, you have to check to see which version of Thief the FM is for in the ReadMe of said FM. TG NewDark FM's are recognized as T2 FMs and are installed as such unless you manually edit [darkloader.ini] which is in your DarkLoader install folder.

In my experience Darkloader works just fine with T1, T1G & T2 (I use v4.3).
You folks may have the time to betatest new software, but I'll only switch over, when DL won't work anymore.
Only *then* it has become obsolete for me.

FMSel is very reliable. Don't use Darkloader any more.

Had no problems so far with good old Darkloader (current V4.3). Therefore, i will not switch. Never touch a running system.

if you are using NewDark, you shouldn't be using oldLoaders - things may appear to work, but there are bad things going on under the hood. amount of brokenness may vary.

If you love darkloader4.3 then get the new darkloader by Rsoul. Its the same mission loader setup and screens and all made just for new dark. You can use it for all thief games and system shock 2.

I sense some grumpy old men nearby.
The main problem with Darkloader is that Thief 1 and Gold FMs created with New Dark show up as T2 FMs, and won't run properly. This requires you to edit the darkloader.ini file, somewhat of a hassle. You won't have any such issues with FMSel.
Evolve, gents. FMSel is not in beta. It works perfectly.
