That's absolutely true but:
- you do it only once for each mission
- there aren't that many new missions coming out for T1. The ones that do are usually *worth* the hassle, IMHO.

to make it short, if a bunch of guys that spend pretty much all of their free time doing support for the Dark Engine games says you shouldn't do something, chances are good they are doing it for a reason.

You can't load dmls fixes in Darkloader. Some FMs won't work properly without dmls/FMSel.
