The newest FM (at the time of writing - A Visit to the Baron) is modelled on/inspired by Mont St. Michel in northern France.
Are any other FMs similarly inspired by real life locations, perhaps using the same street patterns and/or architecture?
I'm toying with the idea of creating an FM set in the Cité de Carcassonne, with a story roughly along historical lines, but a) I have little free time, and b) zero experience with Dromed, so don't expect anything within a couple of years.

I do believe Dracula series and Elizabeths Bathory are based on actual places as well by Sensut.

While the view from the water towards the castle in "A Visit To The Baron" does remind one of Mont-St.-Michel (or at least photos of it), Zontik's recreation in the "Heretic" mission of "Patriot" has much more similarity to it. When I watched a TV documentation of the actual (ex-)monastery a while ago, I could identify almost any room shown. And AFAIK, the already mentioned castle of Zontik's "King's Story" is well modeled as well. Zontik seems to have a habit of recreating real places in "Thief"; another mission of "Patriot" has a church that is based on a famous real church or cathedral, situated in France, if I recall it correctly.
"Something up there..." is said to have been modeled after a place in Utrecht, the author's home town.
If my memory serves well, Cardia stated that "FTM life" is situated in a town that has a real "counterpart", as well as the buildings in "Melancholy in Porto".
There also was a mission in the cancelled "Hammerite Imperium" campaign which would have been modeled after Turkey's Hagia Sophia cathedral. I think there even was a wireframe model of the mission shown somewhere which indeed looked like that cathedral from the outside. However, the mission was never published, AFAIK, unlike the "Cathedral" mission which was published in an unfinished state some years ago.

My FM's Bafford's Last Stand and Invasion were based on Beaumaris Castle in Wales.

Sensut’s Nosferatu/Dracula FMs have a very faithful recreation of Bran Castle, Transylvania.
