both gorts rotb series's on some missions use and expand maps on om's
also not sure of name of missions but 2 missions use thieves guild and let you go to the left from start when you hit first gate=real good missions

I thought someone had taken all the OG missions and made them individual missions for download for making FM's or exploration. or there were completely stripped OM's somewhere that were downloadable. Maybe that gets into copyright issues though?

Home Sweet Home
People regularly state that Home Sweet Home is based on an OM, but IIRC it's only the 2 rooms in which you start the mission that come from an OM (can't remember which one though), or am I completely mistaken, if so which OM is the base.

There used to be a zip that you could d/l and use with Darkloader that allowed you to play the T2 OMs in which ever order you wanted, don't think it's compatible with any of the modern loaders.
As for T1/TG missions a few were remade for T2 as stand alone missions (Down in the Bonehoard, Return to the Cathedral, Mages Tower, The Lost City, Thieves Guild, Lord Bafford's Manor), all of these are available at Darkfate.

I recall something like that too but you can also go into the config file or something like that and manually load each game in the regular game. There was at one point all the unstripped missions from each that were loadable into a FM loader and you could easily open them in DROMED to make new missions. It was a major time saver I think for most people. I'll have to dig through some of my old DVD's and see if they are in there. It was fun to quickly go into those missions in DROMED and have a look around without having to interact with the AI.

The only unstripped missions are the T1/TG OM's, when LGS made T2 they stripped all the individual missions for copyright purposes, so it's not easy for authors to port T2 missions without having to completely rebuild the mission, which explains why most of the OM ports have only been made using T1/TG missions
I've made a some maps for a few of the T1/TG missions and have used them for OM ports that I have made lootlists for (Overlords Ending, Dire Return, Lord Baffords Manor), and Athalle has made a few others, hopefully one day I'll get around to making maps for all the rest.

For the record, this is way off. The entire OM Ambush is present in HSH. It's just been heavily retextured and the objectives have all been redone.

This isn't right either. The unstripped T2 missions are available on the CD and also in one of the sub folders in the Steam version. I think the actual reason the missions in the main directory were stripped was to (as silly as it sounds) save disk space.

(

Quote:
"The Keepers have a job for me. They have recently learned that the Hammers have returned the eye to the newly restored cathedral complex. Locked away securely, no doubt. The Keepers aren't too happy about this arangement, though, and have asked me to use my 'special skills' to retrieve it for them. Given the old quarter's history, I can't blame them. Getting in shouldn't be a problem. The main cathedral doors will be locked down, but I hear there is a new side entrance leading to the cloister gardens, and I should be able to find a backdoor key for the cathedral somewhere in St.Yora's. Then I'll have to find the eye. The Keepers are paying me for this job, so at least I won't have to worry about loot too much."

omg that one mission where you go down in the bone hoard but everything is upside down
