Ranstall Keep T1.....scrunched up AI's and footlockers
i remember reading a post about this somewhere but i cant remember which thread it was in, i don't think it was a Newdark issue but you suggested to the other person it was an Thief instal issue ( i think).....so not sure if this is a dml fix issue, mainly curious as to why this is happening in this mission, certainly not a deal breaker, but am interested as to whether this is an issue at my end or is an FM issue

edit: should have said these scrunched up footlockers are happening all over the map as are scrunched up chests, but have only come across 1 scrunched up zombie....so far

Edit 2: just looked in dromED and all these obj are scrunched up in solid world, so i guess the author either wanted them scrunched up intentionally or did some bad droming, but its obviously not my end. as i said not a deal breaker so need for a fix unless you want to..:cheeky:

the footlockers look intentional, and so does the zombie. anyway, if the zombie bothers you too much, a dml is in the repository (not a NewDark issue, but was easy enough to fix).

not sure what is causing the switches, but definitely not the dml. also, looks like this FM is incompatible with mods that update the AI meshes, as the author used an umm, unique way of setting up his custom resources (using such a mod will make the insectoid guards look like hammers, for example).

read this scroll the Engineer is mean't to enter the hammer compound and it is off him that you can frob the key to the Engineer's quarter...see post from author

however with Newdark the Engineer is not triggered thus preventing you progressing any further

keys 210,659 and 852 are on the other side of the locked door you need to get through....the trigger key is
MarvigelEngineersKey (893).....
on normal there is no 'find the note objective', so the note is not in the secret hideaway, but there is still
no hammer wandering around with the engineers key, so im guessing NewDark breaks the trigger for this hammer be it from the start of the mission or when you achieve goal target 6

play the mission with the latest patch and you'll see how they are supposed to look like.

that screenie was taken from Returning the Favor, but there were similar strange looking hammer/haunts in Ranstall Keep as well....does that mean Returning the Favor also does not like texture packs ?

no, the goal specifically states you need to destroy it, and the setup confirms that. and as far as I can see, it's working properly.
what's supposed to be wrong with the keys?
