Same problem here. I couldn't mantle out of the water. Apparently you have to "turn off" New Mantle. Can someone explain how to do this. It's not an option anywhere that I can find.
While I'm at it, when I go to the Weapons Shop in Canzo Pt2 and purchase rope arrows, I lose the cash, but don't receive the arrows! Went through the proper procedures but there's nothing in my inventory.

Not really an NewDark issue, but certainly an issue that could do with a .dml fix
Bloodstone Prison.... to get Sebastin to go and open the safe you need to get him to go and get a new candle (as per instructions in readables ) to do this you need to either pinch the candle on the altar or use a water arrow.
Problem is that when using either HDmod or NecroAge the candle does not have any flame, you can usually get over this as pinch the unlit candle or when you frob one of the candlesticks on the altar (when playing via NecroAge anyway) sebastin does as he is meant to, but the flame really ought to be burning as this may confuse players who are looking for a lit candle.
I first came across this when playing via HDmod and recieved replay from Gecko that it has something to do with Dark.cam

For anyone having trouble mantling out of water in certain missions, a good work around for that issue it to drop an item near the corner you want to mantle onto, and mantle onto the item. The item should be floating near the surface of the water, it should not be placed on the shore. Flares work best since they have a tendency to linger in the air until you touch them. I've played all the missions people mentioned having trouble with this issue and I've never had to turn off new_mantle.
If you want to turn off new_mantle, you are looking for this section of cam_ext.cfg (in your thief2 main directory)

I agree with Nightwalker that the older missions can be played just fine with the old dark. I don't know if this was mentioned already and it is not really a show stopper, but in The Seventh Crystal the camvator sequences run a little too fast in new dark. As Garrett is talking to himself the two actors on the bridge start talking at the same time. I noticed the same thing in one of my missions Rust Belt Prison. I had to redo part of that mission because the player kept getting stuck in the solid terrain due to the faster camvator. It's not excessively fast but it is fast enough to cause the camvator to overshoot the TerrPts that tell the camvator where to go. Becasue of the narrow passages this would in some cases cause the player to enter solid terrain.

ok, unable to replicate, the candle (the short, fat one in the middle) has a flame both with, and without NecroAge.

Mmmm. That's odd, the first time it happened it was when i was playing via HDmod on my old computer.
No problem, I'll say as much in my walks, which i'm updating. But thanks for looking.
PS. As an after thought could it possibly have anything to do with the windows operating system?...both my old and new computer are W7

I don't have hdmod handy, so I can only comment on NecroAge - it does not contain a replacement candle model for the candle in question, and the flame in the FM is not using a vhot, so object interference is pretty much out of the question. however, it does replace the flame texture, and I can imagine that certain gpu settings could make the new flame invisible because of this. someone skilled with textures would have to check the NecroAge flame replacement texture and see whether it has some settings that could be causing this. I would make sure that nothing is being forced in the gpu control panel, then perhaps test on some completely different computer.
anyway, the flame object is not missing in your save, and you can check whether it's the new texture quite easily - go NecroAge.crf\obj\txt16\ and rename Fire.png (into _Fire.png or something similar. 7zip will allow this no problem). that will make the game load the vanilla texture, then load your own save and see whether the problem goes away.

With this mission on 'normal' and 'hard' difficulty there is an objective 'Do not knock anyone out' however when you start the mission the game automatically defaults to 'easy' game play in which you are allowed to knock people out, but with the extra objective working it would make the game better. I can't say whether this is a Newdark/Olddark issue as I my Olddark install keeps crashing.
Could you take a look and see if this is .dml do-able, though I rather suspect as it's an objective issue there is nothing that you can do.....Thanks.

it's a T1 mission, so the first quick thing to try if there's a problem with objectives is the T1 convict.osm (download from the fix repository, extract to the root folder of the FM, make sure to use FMselect).
