Thanks both of you guys....didn't read thread before I posted and yes I meant 'normal' not easy (shouldn't post threads before 3 cups of coffee). Have just checked with old convict.osm and that does not change the default game play, so guessing the author did not set things up correctly in the first place.

You're not allowed to knock people out on normal (normal is the default diffuculty), so why do say, you may knock them out? This is only allowed on "easy".
Easy is like hard and normal, too: namely normal

I meant there are meant to be 3 difficulty settings ( on easy the objective 'Do Not knock anyone' out does NOT appear) but 2 (easy and hard) do not activate, this is a renowned mission for being really hard (it isn't really once you understand how to beat it) but some people may wish to play on the easiest setting and if Voodoo can produce a .dml fix to get the mission working on easy correctly that would be fantastic.

this would be goal_min_diff_4=1
Looks like the author saved the mission after testing the mission in DromEd on hard (=normal) difficulty. So it's all the same.

Thanks for looking into that Unna, I suspected Voodoo would not be able to do anything, but it was worth asking.
I just realised I got confused between easy, normal and hard as missions are often normal, hard & expert...I blame my dyslexia :cheeky:

Test the mission in DromEd in game mode without difficulty and save it. This can be done with dml?

In the read-me file the author does not state that you may not alter, amend or fix his mission without his permission, So I'm guessing any kind of fix, permanent or .dml would be acceptable
