Moth to a FlameNewdark issue
couple of windows don't open causing you to miss a large part of the mission (obj 526)
save needed
Window object 526 works for me. Can't see the problem
I made a dml for this. fortuni is testing it. Will post it soon.

There's a switch in this room. It doesn't work without the switch.

I checked some more FMs
- Horns of Canzo - Sceptre of Krall. It's working fine. Sceptre needs some treatment (blessing) first.
- Garrett Younger Years - I don't get stuck in that window. Savegame needed for the other issue.
- Last Lighthouse Keeper - Savegames are not available any more

A small bug in Hightowne Museum. Not game breaking.
Not really appropriate for this thread either, but what the hell.
The upper floor hatch to the crystal seems to raise and disappear in newdark.
Reflipping the switch makes it reappear and lower.
It should flip up 90 degrees.
Here is a youtube video showing appropriate behavior.

I noticed that sod_miss30.mis.dml (for Escape From Gabagool/Tears of Blood/Shadow of Doubt) has this part:
//lets change the wooden splinter into a nail, it's much more fitting
-ObjProp 873 "Scale"
ObjProp 873 "ModelName"
{
"" Nail
}
+ObjProp 873 "GameName" = test: "A Nail"
However the instructions for those missions in the OP don't say to download the required nail object files. I think people might get confused and the fix won't work :confused:
But the real question is why this change was even made in the first place. It's not a fix, someone just decided to change a model because they thought it's "much more fitting" (I don't see why a nail is more fitting than a splinter ???). It's a purely opinionated change as far as I can tell, which shouldn't be done even for such a negligible detail as this.

the object is provided if you have the full dml fix package - it was something I was testing out, and left it in in the end. feel free to delete the code to get the wooden splinter back. there are also other changes that make things work differently, ex. the guards dropping their lanterns when knocked out instead of having them stuck to their hands forever (and sinking to the ground most of the time). again, feel free to delete the appropriate parts of the code to get the old behavior back.
also, have you ever tried to pick a lock with a piece of wood?

Did Sperry give you his permission for you to change the splinter into a nail?

Tried with a nail once, ripped the whole nail off and my finger was bandaged up for weeks!
Used a splinter next time, shoved splinter into lock, soaked nail with petrol, attached TNT, lit the fuse and ended up bandaged for weeks.....:cheeky:

the general note "if an author is not happy with me distributing whatever as part of TFix, I will remove it" is there for a reason.
I don't care much for the nail - as mentioned, it was just a leftover from a test, and as I found it quite nice, I've decided to leave it enabled. if Sperry wants it gone, sure thing.

Seriously though Unna, myself and Jax have an absolute, set in stone rule, never to change a design decision by an author unless there is a game breaking issue that can not fixed by other means. Some things should remain sacrosanct, and we always contact still active authors asking them for their permission for any fixes we do propose, it's the right thing to do.

This is so many layers of shitty I don't even know what to say. A disclaimer not many people will see does not give you any right to tamper with someone's work like that unless you receive explicit confirmation you can, no matter how insignificant a change you think it is.
